The third UPWOOD project meeting was initially planned to be held in Liepaja, Latvia in Autumn 2020. However, due to the global epidemiological situation, the meeting was organized virtually on the 17th of November 2020.

 

In the meeting, the partners discussed the main activities to be held in the 3rd semester, as well as summarized the progress done. The status of the learning materials development for the UPWOOD training course was presented, reminding the valuable points to consider when delivering the materials. There was introduced the vision and concept of the Trainer Handbook, its preliminary structure and content. Additionally, the partners discussed the plan for the project activity which aims to develop the training scenarios. Also, the concept of the online tool was proposed that the project would adopt for the developed virtual scenarios.

The partners had a pleasure to have MiTek Industries AB branch manager Mr. Intars Dicmanis as an external expert in the meeting to provide an insight to the wooden trusses production industry in Latvia and to introduce the trends and gaps of the industry.
