UPWOOD multiplier event in Greece:
Insights

The Greek national information day of the UPWOOD project took place on Wednesday 15 March in a hybrid-mode presential-virtual session. 


Initially, a brief introduction to the project was presented, addressing the UPWOOD project objectives, actions and research results.


Different experts were invited to take part in the event contributing relevant topics of interest in their expertise. Specifically, the topics covered included “Wooden structures in Greece” carried out by the Department of Wood and Furniture Design and Technology T.E.I. of Larissa, “Wood and its products in building materials: characteristics, benefits and challenges” – by the Laboratory Department of Civil Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki or “Vocational training in Greece in the Wood - Furniture - Wooden Construction Sector” conducted by Department of Forestry, Wood Science & Design University of Thessaly.


42 external participants attended the event and were actively engaged in the discussions, exchanging ideas and experiences. Each presentation was followed by questions and discussion.
